MMS 2015: Microsoft’s Midwest Management Summit

(Update March 2019) For an up-to-date list of events Cloud Academy will be attending, please visit the Cloud Academy Events page.

The Midwest Management Summit is a three-day conference where attendees will not only network with MVPs and other presenters but get the opportunity to participate in multiple Q&A sessions.

My name is Trevor Sullivan, a Microsoft MVP for Windows PowerShell automation and a Curriculum Director for Cloud Academy. My goal is to provide our customers with the highest quality Microsoft Azure training content.

In just a couple of weeks, the Midwest Management Summit (MMS 2015) conference will be kicking off. MMS is the premier Microsoft-centric IT systems management conference, with many Microsoft Most Valuable Professionals (MVP) presenting on a variety of deep, technical topics, such as Azure Cloud, System Center, SQL Server, Exchange, PowerShell automation, and much more. The event will be held at the Raddison Blu Hotel that is directly attached to the world-famous Mall of America (MOA), and runs from November 9th to 11th.

I will be presenting four PowerShell-centric sessions at MMS 2015. The first session is on support for user-defined classes in PowerShell, and authoring Desired State Configuration (DSC) resources using classes. My other main session will be co-presented with Microsoft MVP Aleksandar Nikolic, and will be discussing the automation of the Microsoft Azure public cloud platform using PowerShell. There are two other PowerShell-related sessions that I will be supporting.

Additionally, I will be supporting Adaptiva with their brand new PowerShell support for the OneSite product. Adaptiva OneSite enables customers to efficiently transfer data across network links without impacting critical business network traffic. OneSite also offers a workflow system that can be used to automate internal business processes, and enable IT professionals, to build workflows using a friendly, graphical designer interface.

There will be many other technical sessions that you won’t want to miss. Come and be part of the Midwest Management Summit: take advantage of the incredible networking opportunities, explore the largest mall in the United States, and engage with other IT professionals who are learning new, deep, technical skills. After attending this event, you will gain many new skills that will help you to be significantly more valuable in your job.

Most important: keep your eyes on Cloud Academy over the next months as we bring a full curriculum of exciting new Microsoft Azure Cloud courses online!
