Transcript

Hello and welcome to this short course which will look at some of the different networking features and components across your AWS infrastructure. This course does not focus on VPC components, such as NACLs, public/private subnets, bastion hosts and NAT Gateways, etc, as we have a different course dedicated to these topics and more on VPC architecture which can be found here. However it will look at some important networking elements that are essential for a solutions architect to be familiar with at a high level.

Before I start, I would like to introduce myself, my name is Stuart Scott, and I specialize in AWS (Amazon Web Services). Feel free to connect with me with any questions using the details shown on the screen, alternatively you can always get in touch with us here at Cloud Academy by sending an e-mail to support@cloudacademy.com where one of our cloud experts will reply to your question.

This course has been designed for those who are responsible for managing a network infrastructure and optimizing networking connectivity within an AWS environment. It would also be beneficial to anyone taking the AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate exam. The objectives of this course are to introduce you to the following topics at a high level giving you an understanding of what they are and what they are used for. These include Elastic IP Addresses (EIPs), Elastic Network Interfaces (ENIs), EC2 Enhanced Networking with the Elastic Network Adapter (ENA), VPC Endpoints, and the AWS Global Accelerator. You should have a basic level of awareness of AWS Architecture, in addition to the EC2 Service. For more information on both of these topics please take a look at our existing content here:
