Hi there. Welcome to deploying Microsoft Defender for Identity. My name is Thomas Mitchell and I'll be taking you through this course. I'm a Microsoft 365 instructor at Cloud Academy and I have over 25 years of IT experience, several of those with cloud technologies. This quick-hitting course is intended for those who want to actually see how to deploy Defender for Identity. We'll start off with a quick intro to what Defender for Identity is. We'll follow up with a demo that shows you how to create a Defender for Identity instance. After we create the Defender for Identity instance, we'll connect it to an on-prem Active Directory forest. We'll add the forest and install the Defender for Identity sensor on the Active Directory domain controller.
