Snapshots, otherwise known as recovery points, are used to protect VM data. The snapshots are stored in Recovery Services vaults. When it comes time to repair or rebuild a virtual machine, a restore can be taken from any of these saved recovery points. Restoring from a recovery point, or snapshot, allows you to create a brand-new VM, which is a point-in-time representation of the backed-up VM. You can also restore individual disks and use the template that comes with the process to customize the restored VM. Of course, individual file recovery is always an option, as well.

Throughout the course of a long an interesting career, he has built an in-depth skillset that spans numerous IT disciplines. Tom has designed and architected small, large, and global IT solutions.
In addition to the Cloud Platform and Infrastructure MCSE certification, Tom also carries several other Microsoft certifications. His ability to see things from a strategic perspective allows Tom to architect solutions that closely align with business needs.
