Hello and welcome to the PL-900 learning path! This path is specifically designed to help you prepare for the PL-900 Microsoft Power Platform Fundamentals exam. My name is Lee Mucciarone and I’m a Microsoft 365 content creator for Cloud Academy. The PL-900 exam tests your understanding of Power Platform and the tools it provides organizations. These tools include Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, and Power Virtual Agent. The exam will test your knowledge on each of these tools as well as expect you to have a strong understanding of the value each of them can provide businesses.

This learning path is built focusing around the Microsoft published objectives that will be tested during the exam. It is important to note that as software updates and improves Microsoft sometimes changes the objectives and skills tested for these courses so it’s important that you download the certification guide and follow along as we go through this learning path. The link to the certification guide can be found in the transcript below. With that in mind, these objectives are current as of November 2021 and are the following:

• Describe the business value of Power Platform
• Identify the core components of Power Platform
• Demonstrate the capabilities of Power BI
• Describe the capabilities of Power Apps
• Demonstrate the capabilities of Power Automate
• Demonstrate the business value of Power Virtual Agents

As you can see from the objectives, much of what is tested is focused on understanding the capabilities of each of these tools and ensuring that you know when each tool is applicable and how it is best implemented given a situation. We are going to take you through each of these objectives one by one to ensure that you fully grasp what Power Platform is and how it can help create new solutions for organizations.

So with the introduction out of the way, let’s jump right on into it!
