Hello, and welcome to Introduction to Microsoft 365 Administration. My name is Lee Mucciarone and I'm a Microsoft 365 content creator for Cloud Academy. I have four years of IT experience within Microsoft and two years of specialized experience as a customer training specialist training users on the wide range of Microsoft tools. Today, I'll be walking you through this introductory look into administration in Microsoft 365. Before we get started, I'd love to hear feedback.

After you complete this course please give us a rating, and if you have any questions please reach out to me via Linkedin or send an email to support@cloudacademy.com. Now let's go ahead and jump on it. Behind every organization is an administration and IT Team ensuring that a company is kept up and running at all times. Microsoft 365 provides a wide range of administrative tools and insights to help streamline administrative tasks and simplify the way we manage our businesses. In fact, since there are so many, one might argue that learning how to use the tools is easier than simply knowing what tools are available to you.

So, with that in mind, I'm going to take you through an introductory course for administration within Microsoft 365 to make sure that you are fully aware of the benefits provided by managing your business through M365. By the end of this course, you should be able to: describe the capabilities of the Microsoft 365 admin center, describe user licensing, roles, and reporting in the Microsoft 365 admin center, explain how Microsoft 365 helps manage applications and devices, and understand the Microsoft support structure for Microsoft 365 services. With our goals clearly defined, let's start off in the Microsoft 365 admin center and talk about assigning licenses and user roles.

Lee has spent most of his professional career learning as much as he could about PC hardware and software while working as a PC technician with Microsoft. Once covid hit, he moved into a customer training role with the goal to get as many people prepared for remote work as possible using Microsoft 365. Being both Microsoft 365 certified and a self-proclaimed Microsoft Teams expert, Lee continues to expand his knowledge by working through the wide range of Microsoft certifications.
