Cloud Computing is an innovative technology that is revolutionizing the way we do computing. The key concept of cloud computing is that you don't buy the hardware, or even the software, you need anymore, rather you rent some computational power, storage, databases, and any other resource you need by a provider according to a pay-as-you-go model, making your investment smaller and oriented to operations rather than to assets acquisition. But there is much more than that, of course, and there are many different ways how this approach can be put in action.

In this introductory course, you will get a very broad and general overview of Cloud Computing, with a provider-agnostic point of view, to really understand what is cloud, how it was born, and how you can get advantage of it nowadays. You will learn which are the many service and deployment models available, and what are the technical and economical reasons why Cloud Computing can sometimes be a better choice than the traditional way of doing computing.
