Developers and SaaS providers often develop and deploy cloud services or business apps that can be integrated with Azure AD in order to provide secure sign-in and authentication. However, before integrating an app or service with Azure AD, the app or service must first be registered with Azure AD. The registration process requires the developer or provider to give Azure AD information about the application. Such information typically includes the URL where the application is located, the URL to send replies to after the user is authenticated, the URI that identifies the app, and any other pertinent information. In the next lesson, we'll work through a demo that shows you how to add and register an application in Azure AD. We'll use the app registration's experience in the Azure Portal to register the app.
