This course is presented by Sue Hopgood, a Principal Lecturer in project and programme management at QA. Sue has been involved in training and development for 20 years, off and on. Her background is in application development; building workflow applications for large organisations, training and empowering others to do the same, and observing how projects can go wrong as well as right.
Along the way she started up a software business with some partners and successfully implemented a programme to grow the company. Then, missing the learning and development world and wanting to share her business experiences, she decided to study for her Post Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) and spent 4 years teaching business studies and economics up to A-level. The experience taught her even more about learning styles, classroom management and exam techniques; all things that have become very useful in her current role.
Sue has been back in the corporate world since 2014, passing on her knowledge of PRINCE2, Managing Successful Programmes (MSP) and APMP qualifications to project managers across the world via classroom-based teaching, video-based learning or virtual learning methods.
