This course introduces the learning path designed to help you get the most from the re:Invent session entitled CMP208 - Amazon Lightsail: The easiest way to get started on AWS.
Hello, and welcome to this learning path, my name is Stuart Scott and I’m the AWS Content Director here at Cloud Academy.
I’ve designed this content to help you get the most from the re:Invent session entitled CMP208: Amazon Lightsail: The easiest way to get started on AWS.
As highlighted by AWS, Lightsail offers intuitive cloud resources like instances, containers, databases, and more. In this builders’ session, learn how Lightsail can help you meet your SMB or hobbyist developer project needs to get up and running in minutes.
To support this session, I have curated this customized learning path which can be broken down into 3 distinct sections.
Firstly we have a short course introducing the service, followed by a webinar where I discuss with an AWS developer advocate how to configure Lightsail to deploy a highly available wordpress site. Thi content will help you understand the fundamentals of Amazon Lightsail to allow you to follow the concepts mentioned during the re:Invent session. This will make it easier to absorb the information in the session that follows, enabling you to understand the insights and key takeaways during the talk at a greater level.
Next, we have the re:Invent Builders session itself which you can attend or view.
And then after you have taken this session by AWS, I have compiled additional content that I recommend that you focus on to enable you to build on the knowledge gained throughout the learning path, again this will involve webinars that I have hosted with AWS covering Lightsail, in addition to a hands-on lab and a final assessment. This additional and more advanced content will help to develop your skills in this area even further, and with more confidence!
