Learning Path Primer
This course serves as a "primer" for the Solution Architect Professional learning path. The objective of the course is to refresh our understanding of baseline concepts before we explore the more advanced topics relevant to the AWS professional certification domains.
In our first lesson we’ll review some of the terminology and key concepts inherent to the SA professional exam. This first lesson will help us understand questions and scenarios better by ensuring we have a consistent vocabulary.
Next we review aspects of high availability, security and business continuity relevant to the professional certification domains.
We finish with a high level review of some of the AWS Services relevant to the Solution Architect Professional domains.
Hello, and welcome to the Solution Architect Professional Certification for AWS course primer. As I'm sure you are aware, the Solution Architect Associate Certification is a prerequisite to sit in the Professional Certification Exam. If you haven't passed the Associate Certification already, I advise you to complete the Solution Architect Associate Leaning Path first, so you make the best use of your time. Now if you are still here, that's great. I think it's safe to assume you will have a good working knowledge of AWS. So, you might be thinking, if I pass the Solution Architect Associate Exam, do I need to do this course primer? Let me put it this way. There are 80 or so questions in the Professional Certification Exam, which means, you only really have around two minutes per question to digest and answer these complex questions and scenarios. There's no time for head scratching. So, the objective of this primer course is to briefly review some of the relevant topics to get you back into the AWS Exam zone. In our first lesson, we will review some of the terminology and key concepts inherent to the Solution Architect Professional Exam. This first lesson will help us understand questions and scenarios better by ensuring we have a consistent vocabulary. Next, we'll review aspects of high availability, security, and business continuity that are relevant to the Professional Certification domains. And, we'll finish with a high-level view of some of the AWS services you may not have used recently. Okay, so if you're feeling ready, let's get started.
