Microsoft Purview is a data governance service based on data discovery, scanning sensitive data, curating existing data, and finding valuable information for end-to-end security. It can help you manage your on-premises, multi-cloud, and software-as-a-service (SaaS). Purview allows you to scan and classify the data across your data estate, giving you a holistic view of the data.
With the increasing demand to automate and manage data, the Purview service can be used to quickly and easily find relevant data based on various filters and checks. The filters can vary from glossary terms to classifications and sensitivity labels. It provides a curation feature to make it easier for data engineers to automate and tag the data assets to create a seamless processing experience.
