In this webinar, Stefano Bellasio, CEO of Cloud Academy, will introduce, the online platform to learn Cloud Computing and test your knowledge on several platforms including Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud Platform, Microsoft Azure and other technologies like Docker.

Hi, everyone. This is Stefano Bellasio. I'm the CEO and founder of Cloud Academy. Thank you for attending our webinar today.

So for who among you that don't know anything about, we are a learning platform to learn Cloud Computing online and test your skills completely online.

So today, we are going to spend 20 to 30 minutes together. I'm going to show you how Cloud Academy works and how Cloud Academy can help you achieving results for your career, learning Cloud Computing skills on different platforms, so not only on a single platform like Amazon, but in several different cloud and Cloud Computing private and public platforms.

So let me introduce you Cloud Academy and a bit of history about our company and what we are doing. So we started Cloud Academy in 2013. We are an American company. Our headquarters is in San Francisco. The reason why we started Cloud Academy is basically because we are a group of Cloud Computing experts. So all the founding team and also the people that are working today in our team are all connected to the Cloud Computing industry and, somehow, are Cloud Computing experts in different areas.

So all the people that are creating our content, the people that are basically creating our products in order to learn Cloud Computing online with, are Cloud Computing engineers or have a background in the Cloud Computing industry. Today, we have people in more than 130 countries worldwide. So we see people from United States, from Asia, from Europe. All of them are using Cloud Academy for different reasons. Most of them are using it to pass and prepare for a Cloud Computing certification. Some other people are using it to start learning Cloud Computing from scratch.

So today, Cloud Academy has more than 12,000 people that are using it every day. We don't cover only a single Cloud Computing platform. So we are offering training on several Cloud Computing solutions. We started with AWS, so Amazon Web Services, but we are adding more and more content about Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure, and other platforms.

We are creating something that is totally vendor-independent. So we do think that today, when you are a professional or where you're working inside your company with a Cloud Computing solution, basically you need skills on several platforms, not only on a single platform. That's the reason why we created a platform where we provide continuous streaming. Every week, every month, you have new skills and new content to learn Cloud Computing.

So what's the vision behind Cloud Academy? It's not only about training, so about using Cloud Academy to learn how to use a Cloud Computing platform. In fact, we do provide a different approach to learning.

We provide learning, testing, and also the possibility to get some direct knowledge on that platform, using it directly online, on our solution.

So today, Cloud Academy is used not only by people that are learning how to use, for example, Amazon Web Services, but also by people that want to use Cloud Academy to keep their skills updated, time over time. So basically they're using Cloud Academy because, every month, they get new content. They get new skills, and they're able to keep their skills updated, month over month.

So in this slide, you see some of our testimonials. Basically, as I said before, we do have people worldwide that are using Cloud Academy. Some of them are using it inside a company. Some of them are consultants. But basically most of them are using Cloud Academy because they are getting new knowledge for their career. So they are using it to get a new job, to pass a certification. In some cases, they are using it because they're starting a new Cloud Computing project, and they need the specific skills for that project. We have people from Australia, from South Africa, from Europe and also Asia.

So as I was telling you before, we focus on specific Cloud Computing providers, but actually we are vendor-independent. The way we do that is actually creating a specific content model for every platform we provide training for. This one, in this slide, is actually the AWS content model.

That means that actually we are providing you courses on three different levels, for beginners, for people that have intermediate knowledge, and also for advanced people. At this specific level, you find courses or laboratories or quizzes, and you'll see the difference in a minute, that are targeted for that specific level.

So for example, if you're totally new to Amazon Web Services, actually you can use our basic courses, our basic level, in order to acquire all the skills on the AWS compute bar, on the storage, on the networking database and security. If you take a deep look, you actually see that we have different categories because we want to replicate what usually you find in a company or in your daily job.

So you actually have different department and different areas in the IT department that are working on networking, on storage, on security. That's the reason why you should acquire your skills also on AWS or any other Cloud Computing platform in that way.

So let me explain better how we organize our content and what kind of learning and training you can get with Cloud Academy.

First of all, it's not all about a single platform, and now this is clear. Second, we do provide different type of learning tools. The first one are courses. So courses are video courses that you can follow online with different lectures and completing them at your own pace.

Then we have the quizzes. The quizzes are particularly good for people that are starting a certification path, or they just want to verify if they're ready for a certification path. The good thing about the quizzes is that we are not only testing your knowledge, but every time you answer to a quiz, you get also an explanation. Thousands of people that are completing quizzes every day, not only to test their knowledge, but also to learn something new.

So if you are taking, for example, our learning path on AWS solution architect, you will get, of course, your knowledge tested by more than 200 quizzes. But also, you will get, for every question, an explanation that will give you something more about a specific topic.

Then we have the laboratories. So the laboratory is the best way possible to get some practice on AWS. So imagine that you have a laboratory inside Cloud Academy.

You can start the laboratory. You get access to the AWS console, into a specific instance inside Cloud Academy. Basically the system, our site, is guiding you, step by step, to complete all the action required in that laboratory.

So we have laboratories that are specific for AWS certifications, for example, how to set up a VPC, how to launch an instance, so very basic. Also, we have laboratories that are more advanced and are targeted for people that are just learning how to use specific components of AWS.

The last tool that we use is called certification training path. They are specific learning paths that are targeted to people that are achieving AWS certifications. In that case, you have learning paths composed by 100, 200, 300 questions, that are targeted to people that are learning for that specific path, or they are testing their knowledge for that path.

You have a specific learning tool inside this area of Cloud Academy that allows you to review all your questions. So after you complete that path, you can understand what you answered wrong or right. Also, you can understand what are the areas, so what are the single services of AWS, that you should learn more or that you should spend more time on.

So those are the quizzes, as I was telling you. In this case, as you can see, this is the question. You have 60 questions in this learning path. You have the single topic. You have the question difficulty.

These are multiple choice. So you try to answer, and then you get the specific explanation. You can save the explanation.

You can read it later and actually using it to learn something more about that specific topic. This is an example of a course. So in this case, as you can see, it's a video course.

We have different courses online, and actually we publish new courses every month. So we have a road map with all the courses, but basically a course is composed by several lectures, and it's divided on the level. So you could be a beginner. So you have all the courses for beginner. For example in this case, you see storage on AWS, on introduction to storage systems on AWS. Or you could be an expert or intermediate. So you need to understand something more, like understanding virtual private cloud on AWS.

This is an example of the laboratories. So the laboratories are totally interactive. As you can see, you have your own information. You don't need an account inside AWS. Everything you need is actually our subscription, because we manage all the other things. You don't need to have your account on AWS. You don't have to pay for that laboratory because it's already included in the Cloud Academy subscription. You have your own credentials, and you can complete several steps with a supervised laboratory, in order to get an understanding of what you're doing right or wrong.

As I mentioned before, we provide continuous training. So every month, our team is working on several new courses, several new quizzes, and laboratories. If you go to Roadmap., you can find all the new courses, all the new laboratories and quizzes that we are publishing, month over month. That's the idea that we have about Cloud Academy.

We do think that your training, specifically on Cloud Computing, doesn't have to be a one-time course or a one-time training, but actually you need to get new skills every month, as soon as Amazon or Google or Azure or other technologies, like Docker, are releasing new services and new challenges for your career.

So this is a preview of the dashboard that you will find online in Cloud Academy, in very few days. As you can see, our challenge is not only providing you the best content possible for your training on Cloud Computing, but also trying to provide you a tool to get your progress, to monitor your progress inside the platform, understanding what are the topics that you understand more and what are the topics where you should learn something more through Cloud Academy.

So in this way, with the dashboard, you can get the number of courses, quizzes and, in general, the content that you completed, the rank inside the platform, so comparing your position with other members of Cloud Academy, and also having a clear idea of your top skills and the weakest skills, so the one that you should work a little bit more on.

These are the pending activities. So every time you start something inside Cloud Academy, our platform is monitoring your events there. So you can go to a course, for example, this first course. It's completed only at 8%. You can restart a course and go in ahead with all the other lectures, and the same thing with the learning path, with the preparation learning path, and also with the laboratories.

So let me tell you something more about enterprise version of Cloud Academy. So basically some of our customers today are using our platform to train their teams inside a company. The reason they do that is because they want to start a new project on Cloud Computing, or they want the team achieving a specific certification. The enterprise version of Cloud Academy is specifically designed for these needs.

So you have a management dashboard. You have a specific version of Cloud Academy with a dashboard where you can invite all the people inside your account. You have reports and analytics. So basically you can understand what your team is doing, with a single member, with the entire group. Actually as soon as you invite someone inside your enterprise plan in Cloud Academy, they get access to everything we have. So you don't have to select exactly what kind of courses, quizzes, or labs they can get, but actually they get access to the entire content library.

Plus, of course, as I said, they do have all the updates on our existing content and new courses that are released every month. For the enterprise plan, we provide also a dedicated account manager. That means that, at any moment, you can contact someone in our staff for questions or for doubts that you could have with your enterprise solution.

So let me show you a couple of examples of the management dashboard. In this case, as you can see, we have invited several people. We can understand, for every member inside the platform, what they are doing, so if they are answering quizzes, watching courses.

We have overall all the activities inside the team, so what they are completing, day by day. If you want something more specific, actually, you can go to report and analytics, and you have the specific information about the number of minutes completed, the number of courses watched, the number of quizzes answered. Basically you can also decide to understand more about your team, so the number of active members, the total time spent, and also the number of correctness of the single quizzes of the members inside your team, so to understand if they're really achieving their goals with Cloud Academy or if they need to do something more.

So just to give you a small recap about Cloud Academy. We strive to be a platform to provide you the complete curriculum on Cloud Computing technologies. When I say Cloud Computing, once more, I want to stress the fact that we are not working only on a single platform, but we want to provide you knowledge for Amazon Web Services, for Google, for Windows Azure, and for other platforms and technologies that we think are important, like Docker, for example.

Every time you subscribe to Cloud Academy, you get access to the entire content library. So it's not something where you have to pay for single courses or for single resources inside our library, but actually you get access to the entire content library, to the updates. So every month, you get, instantaneously, new updates and also to all the new courses that we release every month.

The road map. So the possibility to see all the upcoming courses online, is at Actually one thing that is really important to me to communicate to you is actually that you can use Cloud Academy not only to learn something new, but also to keep your skills updated. So the way we build Cloud Academy is actually to help people understand more about Cloud Computing technologies, over three months, six months, a year, when they have all the new challenges in their daily job. Actually, they can still use Cloud Academy to get something new, to get some new skills and updates on what is changing.

You know, better than me in some cases, that Amazon, for example, is continuously changing the number of services and the existing services. That's, of course, something that, at Cloud Academy, we evaluate really with great attention, in order to provide the best updates and the best new content every month to our user base.

So before closing this webinar, let me go through all the benefits of our enterprise solution. As I said, it's a company-branded solution, so with your logos and your company's information.

Plus, you can keep track of all the progress of your employees inside your account. You can get dedicated support from our team at Cloud Academy.

Of course, as we said, it's continuous training. So basically it's vendor-independent. You learn several Cloud Computing technologies, and it's cost effective because you can always access the content online. So we are at the end of this presentation. Thank you for joining us, and welcome to the Cloud Academy. Bye.
