In this lesson of the AWS Certified Data Engineer - Associate course, we introduce you to the various Compute services currently available in AWS that are relevant to the DEA-C01 exam.

Objectives

  • Provide a high-level introduction to compute and container services in AWS, including:
    • Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2)
    • AWS Batch
    • AWS Lambda
    • AWS Serverless Application Model (SAM)
    • Amazon Elastic Container Service (ECS)
    • Amazon Elastic Container Registry (ECR)
    • Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS)

Prerequisites

The AWS Certified Data Engineer - Associate certification has been designed for anyone in a data engineering role who has knowledge and experience using AWS services to set up and maintain ETL pipelines. All of the AWS Cloud concepts introduced in this lesson will be explained and reinforced from the ground up.
