To perform data analytics tasks, you normally have to work with data that resides in many different locations using many different tools. This disjointed process can be difficult and time-consuming. To address this issue, Microsoft Fabric provides a central data repository and an integrated suite of tools in a unified user interface.

In this lesson, I’ll start by giving you a quick overview of Microsoft Fabric. Then I’ll explain how lakehouses are designed. Finally, I’ll show you how to create a lakehouse in Microsoft Fabric, upload data to it, and query it.
