Hello, and welcome to “Analyzing Text by Using the Azure Text Analytics Service”.
My name’s Emilio Melo and I’m an Azure Solutions Architect at Cloud Advantage, with a focus on Data & AI solutions. I was lucky enough to have worked for some major companies in the IT industry, such as Microsoft, IBM, NetApp and Trivago.
So who is this course for? This course is meant for developers or architects that would like to know more about how to use the Text Analytics capabilities of Azure Cognitive Service for Language to understand and process text content.
The focus of this course is to cover how to use the Text Analytics features to detect language, and to retrieve and process key phrases, entities and sentiment from a text. We’re not going to focus much on coding, but instead focus on how to create the Azure resources and use the API.
The prerequisites are relatively low, as we will be covering Text Analytics concepts from the beginning. That being said, it would be useful if you had:
- some Azure experience, at least with topics such as subscriptions and resource groups
- some Cognitive Services knowledge, especially on text-related services
- And some developer experience, including familiarity with terms such as REST API and SDK
