Sprawling infrastructure and snowflake woes? Then Ansible is the solution you need!
Ansible is designed to be minimal in nature, consistent, secure and highly reliable! Ansible is a highly sought after skill in the marketplace with an extremely low learning curve for administrators, developers and IT managers.
The "Ansible Essentials: Simplicity in Automation Technical Overview" course introduces you to Ansible automation and configuration management, provisioning, deploying, and managing compute infrastructure across cloud, virtual, and physical environments.
By taking this course you'll learn just how easy it is to use Ansible to build consistent and repeatable infrastructure environments using Ansible playbooks.
Hi and welcome to Ansible Essentials: Simplicity in Automation. My name is Michelle Perz and I am the Senior Support Engineer for Ansible by Red Hat and what we are going to talk about today is the following.
So we are going to start off by discussing what Ansible is, and talk about what the Ansible Way is, in terms of best practices. We are going to get into how Ansible works. We are then going to transition into ad hoc commands, which is going to encompass a live demonstration, using my terminal. Then we are going to get into an introduction to playbooks, talking about Ansible's key components. We are going to transition playbooks into a role, so we will talk about the role structure and what that means. We are then going to create the role structure with ansible-galaxy command, and then we are going to break that existing playbook that I created in the “Introduction to Playbooks” video into a role. We are then going to create a new role, and then I am going to talk about how you can utilize those roles inside of your main playbook, and then we are going to close out with an overview of Ansible Tower.
So join us in our next video where we are actually going to get into what Ansible is and the Ansible Way.
