Transcript

Hello and welcome to this AWS Cost Management course, focusing on visualizing costs. I am Heinrich Marks and I'm a FinOps Consultant at kreuzwerker Frankfurt GmbH. My focus is on cost optimization in the AWS cloud and the practice of FinOps methodology at the enterprise level. In fact, we are the leading FinOps professionals in Germany and cover many other fields related to AWS and cloud development.

In this course, we will learn how to visualize our expenses and how to share them with others. The lectures are aimed to be beginner-friendly and therefore do not require special knowledge. However, it is advisable that you are familiar with the following topics: cost optimization in theory, cloud and finance-related terminology, and a basic understanding of AWS Athena, AWS Glue, Amazon Quicksight, and SQL commands.

Our objective for this course is to understand the best way to use visualization tools in AWS. Costs in cloud environments can get complicated quickly. Therefore, it is essential to provide transparency and responsibility to everyone in a business.

On a side note, I'd like to add that feedback on our courses is valuable to both us as trainers and any students looking to take the same course in the future.
