This is a notification to advise you that a new version of the AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate is now available, this being SAA-C02. The existing version, SAA-C01, will retire on July 1st, 2020. This learning path is based upon SAA-C01. As you may or may not be aware, currently there are two versions of the AWS Certified Solution Architect - Associate exam: SAA-C01 and SAA-C02. This learning path focuses on the SAA-C01 version of the exam, which has been active since 2018 and will retire on the 1st of July 2020, at which point you will no longer be able to take this version of the certification.

This version of the exam is available to book and take as of 23rd March 2020, and will replace the SAA-C01 in the long term. If you are just starting your Solutions Architect - Associate journey, then I suggest you start with the newer version of the exam.
One final point, if you do choose to take the SAA-C01 version of the certification, then you will still be certified for the full three years, despite the certification expiring on the 1st of July 2020.
