Prerequisites
To get the most out of this course, you should have experience with SQL Server Management Studio, be familiar with reading and writing SQL, and have an understanding of basic database architecture and administration tasks, like indexes and backups.

There are several options for consuming Intelligent Insights data. It can be streamed to an Azure event hub. Or streamed to Azure Storage. It can even be streamed to a third party in JSON format. The preferred method for consuming Intelligent Insights, is by streaming it to Azure SQL Analytics.
To view Azure SQL analytics, users must at least have the reader role in Azure. But to view query text, or implement any recommended tuning actions, users will need to be granted roles with more permissions, like owner, contributor SQL server contributor, or SQL DB contributor. Let's now see how to set up Azure Analytics.
