The course is part of this learning path
This course explores the theoretical side of blockchain technology as well as the practical elements. You'll learn what the blockchain is and the difference between private and public blockchains. We'll also cover smart contracts, and Web 3.0.
Welcome to the final lecture in this section, where we'll summarize everything we went over. Following which we'll move on to the next section, which will dive into the practical elements of this ecosystem with you. You should now have a clearer understanding when it comes to blockchain technology. Following this deep dive which touched upon every aspect of the ecosystem with you, here is what we discussed in each lecture of this section should you wish to refer back to them. One, what is the blockchain? In this lecture, we went over the general idea of what blockchain technology is, before discussing the deeper variations of blockchain technology. Two, private and public blockchains. We then swiftly moved on to discussing the various types of blockchain, simply because it cannot be described solely as one term. Highlighting the differences between private, public, and consortium blockchains. Three, example use cases of blockchains. At this point, you had an understanding of blockchain technology. In this lecture, we showcase how all of this comes together to create real-life use cases. Four, what are smart contracts? In this lecture, we went over smart contracts, which is a large proportion of the use cases upon the blockchain developing smart contracts. They power a whole range of use cases. So, that is something we discussed in this lecture. Five, how widely used are dapps? As we moved on to this lecture, it was important for us to hone in on the fact of just how widely used decentralized applications, otherwise known as dapps, were. It may have surprised many. Six, introducing Web 3.0. As blockchain technology is often referred to as being a part of the Web 3.0 era, in this lecture, we dived into just what being a part of the Web 3.0 entailed. Seven, the blockchain we'll be working with. Finally, in this lecture, we highlighted the blockchain we'll be working with, hence as we move forward in the course to the practical elements, it was clear to you. So, that's everything for this quick summary should you wish to refer back to a specific lecture in this section. We look forward to seeing you in the next section of this course, where we will start going over the practical elements of this ecosystem.
