2m 55s

In this section of the Cloud Practitioner course, we introduce you to the cloud concepts relevant to the CLF-C01 exam. We focus on the fundamentals of Cloud Computing, what it is, how it operates, the benefits and why you might choose to run your production workloads within a cloud environment such as AWS.

Learning Objectives

  • Gain a clear definition of what Cloud Computing is
  • Gain a comprehensive understanding of Cloud Computing
  • Understand when and why you should use Cloud Computing, and with which deployment model
  • Knowledge to discuss confidently as to why or why not you should migrate services to the Cloud
  • Understand some of the different benefits and constraints the Cloud can have on a business

This lesson is designed for anyone who is new to cloud computing, so no prior experience with AWS is necessary. While it may be helpful to have a basic understanding of AWS and its services, as well as some exposure to AWS Cloud design, implementation, and operations, this is not required as all of the concepts we will introduce in this lesson will be explained and reinforced from the ground up.
