To create an availability ping test, create a new Application Insights resource. Select Availability and then click Add test. Give your test a name, select URL ping test from the Test type, and then enter your app's URL. Select the frequency with which you want this test to be performed, and hit the Create button. Once the test is active and running, you can monitor the results. I'm just going to stop the app to induce a failure. When you see a failure, you can drill down into the failed test to see what the issue is.
Hallam is a software architect with over 20 years experience across a wide range of industries. He began his software career as a Delphi/Interbase disciple but changed his allegiance to Microsoft with its deep and broad ecosystem.
