To enable Active Directory authentication with Azure SQL, the first thing you must do is set the administrator for your database server. In the Azure portal, select your server and then, under Settings, select Active Directory Admin. Click the Set admin button at the top and then select your Active Directory user that you want to set as the admin and then save.
