Transcript

Hi and welcome to this lesson on designing, implementing, and managing an Azure Point-to-Site VPN. My name is David Cooke. I'm both an Azure Solutions and Cybersecurity Architect expert, as well as a Microsoft certified trainer with over 20 years experience of Microsoft products and the past 10 years primarily with Microsoft Cloud Technologies. If you have any questions during this lesson, please email them to support@cloudacademy.com. This lesson is intended for those people who design, plan, or manage Azure network resources or anyone that is interested in hybrid connectivity solutions. To get the most from this lesson, you should have experience creating resources in Azure and have an understanding of Azure Virtual networks and connectivity within the Azure platform. In the first part of this lesson, we will focus on designing a point-to-site solution.

We'll go through an overview to explore where and how this can be used. We'll then focus on the different options available to select the appropriate skills, the appropriate authentication methods, and appropriate tunnel types. We'll finish this session by identifying the requirements to enable Always On authentication, and for hybrid scenarios, the requirements to use Azure Network adapters. The second part of the lesson will focus on configuring a Point-to-Site VPN. We'll start by configuring the selected authentication method and end the section Configuring the VPN Client. In the final part of the lesson, we will look at managing a Point-to-Site VPN by how we can diagnose and resolve the client side or authentication issues that may occur. By the end of this lesson, you should be able to design, implement, and manage an Azure Point-to-Site VPN solution. We'd also love to get your thoughts on this lesson, so please give the lesson the rating when you're finished. So, when you're ready to get started, I'll see you in the next lecture.
