Transcript

The first thing we're going to look at are bookmarks in Power BI reports. Bookmarks can be quite useful allowing you to create data stories and enhance the user experience by creating step by step highlights that present key data to the end user at the click of a button. Though one of the defining features of Power BI is its interactivity, there is also the use case that you want to highlight certain visuals with certain applied filters that show interesting insights. Bookmarks in Power BI allow you to do that. They let you save states of your pages and switch between them easily at the click of a button. With bookmarks, you can save filters including filtering and selections in slices, the current page, object's visibility, the sort order, as well as the drill down level.
