Hi there. Welcome to Getting Started with Microsoft Purview Information Barriers. My name is Thomas Mitchell and I’ll be taking you through this course.

This course is intended for those who wish to learn about Information Barriers and Information Barrier Policies. We’ll kick things off by taking an introductory look at Microsoft Purview Information Barriers, where you’ll learn what they are and why they are used.
After you’ve been introduced to information barriers, we’ll take a high-level look at what goes into configuring Information Barrier Policies. We’ll then work through a demonstration, where you’ll get to see me create and apply an information barrier policy.

Tom is a 25+ year veteran of the IT industry, having worked in environments as large as 40k seats and as small as 50 seats. Throughout the course of a long an interesting career, he has built an in-depth skillset that spans numerous IT disciplines. Tom has designed and architected small, large, and global IT solutions.
In addition to the Cloud Platform and Infrastructure MCSE certification, Tom also carries several other Microsoft certifications. His ability to see things from a strategic perspective allows Tom to architect solutions that closely align with business needs.
