  • Design a backup strategy for Azure Virtual Desktop
  • Configure backup and restore for FSLogix user profiles, personal Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI), and golden images

Intended Audience

This course is intended for anyone who wants to become an Azure Virtual Desktop Specialist and is preparing to take the AZ-140 exam.

Transcript

We have covered several important topics in this course.  First, we looked at planning and implementing a disaster recovery plan for Azure Virtual Desktop.  In this module we discussed disaster recovery in AVD and how you can utilize a second region to failover to, we then discussed Azure virtual machine replication, and finally looked at how we can facilitate FSLogix replication.

In the second module, we looked at designing a backup strategy for Azure Virtual Desktop, and this was very demo-heavy.  We ran through three demos, including backing up a VM using Azure Backup, a demo to configure Azure Site Recovery for a VM, and finally how to snapshot an Azure VM for backups.

In the final module of this course, we took a dive into configuring backup and restore for FSLogix user profiles, personal virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI), and golden images.  In this module, we talked about backing up Azure file shares and the backup option for golden images.
