Your Storage is your data, so in Azure Virtual Desktop we need to address your storage needs. This comes in a few flavors: FSLogix User Profiles and Office Profiles as well as the Storage solution that they will be mounted from and the disks for your Operating Systems and data drives.  

In this course, we will help you design your Azure Virtual Desktop storage components so you can get the most out of them in your AVD solution but also control cost to make AVD a more cost-effective solution with a dedicated focus on preparing you for the Azure Virtual Desktop Specialty exam.

No matter if you're prepping for the AVD certification or just want to brush up on your skills, you'll learn how to select the optimal storage solutions for your AVD environments, control your costs, and protect your AVD environments with Backups, HA, and DR. My name is Dean Cefola and I've been in the IT industry for over 20 years. Today I'm an Azure Principal Engineer at Microsoft and I've been working with Azure Virtual Desktop since before the beginning. Who should attend this course? Well, it's anybody who's interested in learning how Azure Virtual Desktop works and those studying for the AVD Specialty exam. Through this course, I'll help you to understand Azure Virtual Desktop Storage requirements and then we'll talk through those storage solutions so you can select the right one for your environment. We'll talk through Azure Virtual Machine disk performance and capacity, we'll touch on high availability and disaster recovery, and then we'll configure a storage solution for FSLogix. And we'll finish up by creating, configuring, protecting, and authorizing your FSLogix file shares.
