  • IPv4 Reserved Addresses
  • IPv4 Subnetting
  • IPv4 Addressing Modes (Unicast, Broadcast, and Multicast)
  • IPv4 Route Summarisation

Additionally, we will present IPv4 subnetting formulas and perform several sample subnetting calculations.

- [Narrator] Hello and welcome to this Cloud Academy course on IPv4. Before we start, I'd like to introduce myself. My name is Jeremy Cook. IPv4 is the fourth version of the internet protocol. The agenda for this course is as follows. We'll review general IPv4 networking concepts. We'll provide detailed explanations for key parts of the IPv4 protocol. In particular, we'll review IPv4 addressing notation, IPv4 classful addressing, IPv4 classless inter-domain routing, IPv4 Reserved Addresses, IPv4 subnetting, IPv4 addressing modes, Unicast, broadcast, and multicast, IPv4 route summarization. In this course, we'll present IPv4 subnetting formulas and perform subnetting calculations. The following prerequisites will be both useful and helpful for this course. An understanding of ethernet, TCP/IP, general networking, concepts such as routing and gateways. Furthermore, if you require an introduction to AWS, virtual private Clouds, and or associated networking concepts, then please consider taking any of the following VPC related courses here on Cloud Academy.
