Description

Microsoft 365 offers Enterprise Mobility & Security (EMS), Windows 10, and Office 365 to enhance business productivity and security. Because Microsoft 365 offers a variety of services and features, not everything is in the same place. Therefore, we need to navigate within different portals, and familiarity with “what is where” gets really important over time.

In this course, we will have a look at some of the most common tasks to be performed by Microsoft 365 administrators related to Azure AD identities, how to secure your environment by assigning the correct permissions to your users, and how to reduce administrative overhead. We’ll do various tasks in different ways by using the Microsoft 365 Admin Center, the Azure portal, and even use Windows PowerShell for automating bulk actions.

Choosing the right type of identity for your current infrastructure is the first step for any successful Microsoft 365 deployment.

This course is for anyone wanting to prepare Microsoft exam MS-100, and more specifically the 'Managing User Identity and Roles' section of the exam. To get the most out of this course, you'll need to be familiar with Microsoft 365, the Azure Portal, as well as Windows PowerShell

Throughout this course, we'll cover how to plan Azure AD Identities and which one should you choose with your existing infrastructure. We'll see how to manage users in groups within your tenant, manage user access by using the Azure Access Reviews to make sure that your users don't have excessive rights, manage passwords and password policies for Cloud users. We'll also implement the Self-Service Password Reset to reduce the admin overhead, and finally, how to manage product licenses by using the interface and Windows PowerShell.

At the end of this course, you'll feel comfortable in managing users and groups, managing licenses, using the interface or Windows PowerShell, as well as reducing the admin overhead and security risks with password management and policies.

We'd love to get your feedback on this course, so please give it a rating when you're finished!. As you can see, we have a lot to cover, so let's get started.
