Transcript

Welcome to this module on Installing and Configuring FSLogix. In this module, we'll cover the following topics. We'll complete a walkthrough demo of installing FSLogix. In this short demo, we'll cover the steps you need to complete in order to install FSLogix to your Windows 10 OS. One thing to note is that at the time of this course the Windows 10 OS images that are available, via the Azure Marketplace, come with FSLogix pre-installed. So you should only need to complete these steps if you are creating an image from scratch outside of Azure.

As you can see, we have an internet browser window open at the webpage where it gives us a download link for FSLogix. The direct link to download FSLogix is https://aka.ms/fslogix/download. However, if we just click on the download link next to download, it will automatically download the required zip file. Once this is downloaded, browse to your download folder in Explorer and unzip the file. As you will see here, we have both 32 bit and 64 bit architecture installs available. In our example is 64 bit Windows 10, so we never get to those installation files.

Here, we have three possible installation files. The FSLogixAppsJavaRuleEditor install allows you to manage Java version control, the FSLogixAppsRuleEditor allows you to create an App Masking rule, and the FSLogixAppSetup allows you to configure profile and office containers. In our demo, we are just going to install FSLogixAppSetup. If we right-click run, this is an administrator, we will eventually see the license terms. You can click on Options to customize the install location, but in our demo we are going to leave this default and click on Install. Once this is successively installed, you can click on Close. The process to install the Java control and App Masking tools is very similar, so we will not cover those in this demo.
