- Learn how to onboard a device to endpoint DLP
- Learn how to create a DLP policy to control and report activities on a device
Intended Audience
- Anyone who wants to learn about data loss prevention policies in the context of Microsoft 365 endpoints
- Students preparing for the SC-400: Microsoft Information Protection Administrator exam
Prerequisites
This is an intermediate-level course so an understanding of the fundamentals of Microsoft 365 would be beneficial.
Hi, and welcome to this Creating and Maintaining DLP Policies for Endpoints in Microsoft 365 course. My name is Hallam Webber, and I'm an Azure instructor with 25-plus years of experience in the IT industry, and since 2014 I've focused on Microsoft Azure and related technologies.
This course is intended for students who want to learn about data loss prevention policies in the context of Microsoft 365 endpoints. The information presented in this course will be helpful to students preparing for the SC-400: Microsoft Information Protection Administrator exam.
In this course, we’ll look at the type of protection offered by endpoint DLP policies on devices. Then we’ll onboard a device to endpoint DLP and create a DLP policy to control and report activities on a device.
This is an intermediate-level course where we focus on how data loss prevention policies are used with endpoints, not on DLP policies per se. Much of the demonstration will happen within the Microsoft Purview portal, and I’ll be running scripts locally with the command and PowerShell terminals.
