The course is part of this learning path
In this section of the AWS Certified: SAP on AWS Specialty learning path, we introduce you to the various Networking services currently available in AWS that are relevant to the PAS-C01 exam.
- Identify and describe the various Networking services available in AWS
- Describe how to configure an Amazon Virtual Private Cloud (VPC)
- Understand how to control network traffic via Security Groups and Network Access Control Lists (NACLs)
- Describe AWS-managed services for Domain Name System (DNS) and Content Delivery Network (CDN)
- Understand how the AWS global infrastructure is used in conjunction with services like Route 53, CloudFront, and the AWS Global Accelerator to reduce latency and improve application performance for end-users
- Identify networking and VPC configuration options for SAP environments running on AWS
The AWS Certified: SAP on AWS Specialty certification has been designed for anyone who has experience managing and operating SAP workloads. Ideally you’ll also have some exposure to the design and implementation of SAP workloads on AWS, including migrating these workloads from on-premises environments. Many exam questions will require a solutions architect level of knowledge for many AWS services, including AWS Networking services. All of the AWS Cloud concepts introduced in this course will be explained and reinforced from the ground up.
Hello, and welcome to this course on Networking in AWS, where we’re here to help you on your journey to prepare for the AWS Certified: SAP on AWS Specialty certification.
Before we get started, I’d like to introduce myself. My name is Danny Jessee, and I am one of the trainers here at Cloud Academy, specializing in AWS – Amazon Web Services – and AWS certifications. In this course, the AWS team will be presenting a series of lectures that introduce the various Networking services currently available in AWS that may be covered on the exam. Feel free to contact me with any questions using the details shown on the screen, or you can always get in touch with us here at Cloud Academy by sending an email to firstname.lastname@example.org, where one of our Cloud experts will reply to your question.
This course has been specifically curated to help you pass the AWS Certified: SAP on AWS Specialty exam and is ideal for anyone who is looking to learn more about the various Networking services in AWS in preparation for the exam.
The objective of this course is to provide a high-level introduction to Networking services in AWS, including:
- Amazon Virtual Private Cloud, or VPC;
- Configuring security groups and Network Access Control Lists, or NACLs;
- AWS Virtual Private Network, or VPN solutions; and
- AWS Direct Connect.
You’ll also learn about global networking services such as Route 53: Amazon’s highly available and scalable Domain Name System, or DNS service; Amazon CloudFront: a high performance Content Delivery Network, or CDN; and the AWS Global Accelerator, which leverages the AWS global infrastructure to reduce latency and improve the overall performance of your applications.
And finally, we’ll wrap up the course with a discussion of networking and VPC configuration options for SAP environments running on AWS.
Together with the other courses in this learning path, we’ll cover all of the key tools, technologies, and concepts from the AWS Certified: SAP on AWS Specialty exam guide and ensure that you are fully prepared to sit this exam.
