Prerequisites
The AWS Certified: SAP on AWS Specialty certification has been designed for anyone who has experience managing and operating SAP workloads. Ideally you’ll also have some exposure to the design and implementation of SAP workloads on AWS, including migrating these workloads from on-premises environments. Many exam questions will require a solutions architect level of knowledge for many AWS services. All of the AWS Cloud concepts introduced in this course will be explained and reinforced from the ground up.

The objective of this course is to provide a high-level introduction to various AWS services that can assist with operating and monitoring SAP workloads on AWS. We’ll begin by discussing three important services that are used when managing and monitoring SAP infrastructure on AWS: Amazon CloudWatch, AWS CloudTrail, and AWS Config. We’ll learn all about the benefits of using CloudWatch and various audit logs to manage your infrastructure. Then we’ll take a look at some cost management services within AWS, including Cost Explorer, AWS Cost and Usage Reports, and AWS Budgets. We’ll discuss how to automate patch and state operations for our SAP instances using AWS Systems Manager, and we’ll wrap up the course by introducing the AWS Data Provider for SAP and explaining how it is used to help gather performance-related data across AWS services which can then be fed to SAP applications, enhancing the performance of your business transactions.
