Lab description

Azure Networking is a cloud-based service that provides network connectivity to and from Azure resources. Network Manager is one of the services that provides a unified network management experience for managing and monitoring network resources in Azure. It allows you to create logical groups to manage the virtual networks and enhance the connectivity between them.

Organizations using the cloud at scale often require a central place to manage, monitor, and visualize network resources in the virtual networks. Network Manager provides a central place to manage, monitor, and visualize network resources in the virtual networks. It allows you to create policies and configurations to manage resources automatically without manual intervention. This helps in reducing the complexity and time required to manage the network resources.

In this hands-on lab, you will learn various network topology configurations in Azure using Network Manager. You will then create network groups to manage the virtual networks for connectivity configuration using Azure Portal.

Learning objectives

Upon completion of this Intermediate-level lab, you will be able to:

  • Create network groups in the Network Manager resource
  • Understand the Mesh and Hub and Spoke network topology configurations
  • Create a hub and spoke network connectivity configuration in the Network Manager resource
  • Create a mesh network connectivity configuration in the Network Manager resource

Intended audience

  • Candidates for Azure Network Engineer Certificate exams (AZ-700)
  • Cloud Architects
  • Network Engineers
  • DevOps Engineers
