Lab description

AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM) enables you to securely control access to AWS services and resources for your users. The service is targeted at organizations with multiple users or systems that use AWS products such as Amazon EC2, Amazon RDS, and the AWS Management Console. 

During this lab experience, you will learn how to create IAM users and groups with specific policies.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this lab you will be able to:

  • Create IAM groups
  • Create IAM users
  • Use IAM credentials to log in as created users

This lab is meant for:

  • Those preparing to work with AWS
  • Those preparing for certification in AWS

Prerequisites

You should be familiar with:

  • AWS Management Console and AWS CLI familiarity are helpful but not required
