Amazon ElastiCache is an in-memory caching service from AWS. It is fully managed and highly scalable. It supports several in-memory database engines including Redis and Memcached.
Learning how to create and configure an Amazon ElastiCache cluster will make you more able to engineer systems that require high performance.
Please note that creating a new Amazon ElastiCache cluster can take up to fifteen minutes to complete. Please ensure you have enough time available before starting this lab challenge.
This hands-on lab challenge will test your practical ability to configure a solution in a production-like AWS environment. You will be presented with a task and set of requirements you must fulfill to pass the challenge.
This is a real environment, which means you can prove your knowledge in an applied way, substituting multiple choice questions for a dynamic performance-based exam situation.
