The AWS CLF-C02 certification can verify and validate your knowledge within this area by enabling you to effectively demonstrate cloud fluency and foundational AWS knowledge.

This course is curated specifically to prepare you for passing the AWS Cloud Practitioner exam. We only cover the aspects and services likely to appear in the exam.

Learning Objectives

The aim of the certification is to validate your knowledge across a number of different key areas, which have been defined by AWS as being able to:

  • Explain the value of the AWS Cloud
  • Understand and explain the AWS shared responsibility model
  • Understand security best practices
  • Understand AWS Cloud costs, economics, and billing practices
  • Describe and position the core AWS services, including compute, network, database, and storage services
  • Identify AWS services for common use cases

As a means of demonstrating this knowledge, you will be tested across 4 different domains, with each domain contributing to a total percentage of your overall score. These domains are broken down as:

Domain 1: Cloud Concepts (24%)

Domain 2: Security and Compliance (30%)

Domain 3: Cloud Technology and Services (34%)

Domain 4: Billing, Pricing, and Support (12%)

As you progress through the course, you will gain all the information and knowledge required to fulfill the domain expectations, gaining a deep understanding within each area.

Prerequisites

This course is designed for anyone who is new to cloud computing, so no prior experience with AWS is necessary. While it may be helpful to have a basic understanding of AWS and its services, as well as some exposure to AWS Cloud design, implementation, and operations, as well as the economics of the AWS Cloud, this is not required as all of the concepts we will introduce in this course will be explained and reinforced from the ground up.
