AWS CDK constructs can represent single AWS services as well as higher-level abstractions that consist of multiple, related resources. These constructs can be found in the AWS Constructs Library and are organized into three layers.
Layer 2 (L2) constructs in the AWS CDK Construct Library are considered higher-level constructs. These constructs abstract the more manual aspects of L1 CFN constructs and provide built-in defaults, helper methods, and infrastructure glue code to improve the usability of the CDK.
In this lab, you will work with an L2 CDK construct to learn how to implement these higher-level constructs into your applications.
