Managing Records Disposition in Microsoft 365 looks at how you can manage the end-of-life process of important data. Data retention policies help an organization to protect important information from accidental or deliberate deletion, as well as how to automatically dispose of data when it is no longer practically required or if it would be illegal to still possess it. These policies can decide data’s fate, sometimes years in advance. As circumstances often change, disposition review is the process of allowing humans to review and change what happens to data before the retention policy automatically disposes of it. This lesson will show you how to configure a disposition review on a retention label and then conduct a disposition review.
