Lab challenges are hands-on labs with the gloves off. You jump into an auto-provisioned cloud environment and are given a goal to accomplish. No instructions, no hints. To pass, you'll have a limited time to demonstrate your problem-solving skills and get the checks that inspect the state of your lab environment.
Docker is a lightweight container runtime that makes developing, packaging, and deploying applications simpler and efficient. Docker Compose is an orchestration tool for running an application that consists of multiple containers.
There are a number of things any engineer working with docker should be able to accomplish, such as:
- Pulling and tagging images
- Building images from a Dockerfile
- Using Docker Compose to run multiple containers
In this lab assessment, you will be tested on your ability to edit Dockerfiles and Docker Compose configuration files. And you will be tasked with building and tagging images.
This is a real environment, which means you can prove your knowledge in an applied way, substituting multiple choice questions for a dynamic performance-based exam situation.
What will be assessed
- Docker
Intended audience
