Content Engine Now Generally Available

When we talk to prospects and customers, many of them come to us with a complaint about their existing learning management (LMS) systems. Much of the feedback boils down to the failure of these platforms to provide the adequate support and resources necessary to facilitate a modern innovation strategy.

At the same time, noticeable shifts in the cloud market are impacting the skills needed. Many organizations are moving away from relying on a single cloud platform and into the multi-cloud, where they can leverage different features for different needs. With RightScale reporting earlier this year that over 81% of enterprises were multi-cloud, our product team knew that training requirements would become more complex.

Today we’re pleased to announce that an elegant solution is generally available: Content Engine™.

On Content Engine, you can customize existing Cloud Academy Learning Paths and add curriculum in accordance to your technology stack.

The Customization You Need – Without the Headache

Content Engine™ offers a rich set of capabilities designed to assist enterprises with customizing existing Cloud Academy training content to match their technology stack. Released to all enterprise accounts, Administrators and Managers can customize existing Cloud Academy Learning Paths, Exams, and Hands-on Labs or create their own from scratch. Individual team members can create content as well, but do not have the ability to publish.

Customize your learning by uploading custom content to Content Engine on Custom Resources. Custom Resources supports a variety of file types including PDFs, images, and audio.

Organizations can contextualize training by leveraging Custom Resources, which supports a variety of file types including PDF, video, and audio.

Here’s a look at some of the ways our beta customers have leveraged Content Engine™:

 • Developing Architecture-Aware Learning Paths: Workloads and implementations look different across organizations. With Content Engine, organizations can add specific documentation to Learning Paths to train teams in preparation for upcoming projects or in the specific context of production environments.
 • Designing Internal Certifications: Cloud skills development is an ongoing priority for forward-thinking organizations. Content Engine allows the creation of custom questions that can be added to Exams and deployed in connection with internal certification programs.
 • Customized Onboarding: In a fast-moving technology environment, it’s important to onboard employees quickly so they can get to work. Content Engine allows organizations to mix their onboarding training with cloud curriculum to drive contextual learning and retention.
